Not Another Book Club Small Group Program
Not Another Book Club Small Group Program
A UU small group program designed for fun-based connection. With absolutely no reading required between sessions, Not Another Book Club is an invitation to connect with others through making things together, singing, and a ritual that builds over the 8 sessions of the program. With elements drawn from role-playing games, and thoughtful discussions around what it means to be in community together, Not Another Book Club is a fresh way to connect.
Inspired by youth and young adult ways of gathering, Not Another Book Club is an opportunity to do church community a little differently: it is approachable to a wide range of English literacies for both participants and leaders (including video facilitation guide and visual cues in the printable leaders’ pdfs), and centers UU community and identity building, as well as the practices that help us create the village we need for this moment.
Not Another Book Club was developed by Quentin LeDuc and Mx. Katharine Childs with gratitude to the CUC’s RAMP program.
