Powerpoint Karaoke

Looking for a fun, goofy activity for your next retreat or talent night? Why not try powerpoint karaoke? We’ve been offering this at retreats and workshops across the country, and it’s proven to be a huge hit.

The premise is simple.  Someone gets to give a presentation, without knowing ahead of time the topic of the presentation, or what will be on any of the slides.  There are ten slides, they get thirty seconds per slide (but can say “next slide” at any time).

THESE ARE PARTICULARLY GOOD FOR GROUPS OF RELIGIOUS PROFESSIONALS.  MINISTERS AND DRES CAN PONTIFICATE ON ANY TOPIC, AND ARE HILARIOUS AT IT.

It’s like improv, but with a bit more structure, so as not to spook the puritans inside us.

UU Indulgences

In the Middle Ages, the Catholic church used to sell indulgences... Certificates that would absolve people of various sins in purgatory.
